YOGA CLASSES

The root of the word yoga, “yuj,” means “to yoke.” To connect, to merge, to unite mind and body, breath and movement, spirit and humanity. Many people associate yoga with asana (Yoga Postures), and begin the practice of yoga for its physical benefits. Through our physical practice of asana, we develop a balance of strength and flexibility, and learn to balance our effort and ease on and off the mat. Although asana is just one of the eight limbs of yoga given to use in the Yoga Sutras, its practice is extremely powerful, and provides numerous benefits for both body and mind.
